The Rational Design Handbook – Four Primary Metrics


In the second instalment of the RLD handbook I take a look at the primary metrics of difficulty and attempt to quantify them. Based on the discussion surrounding the first installment of the RLD handbook, I re-wrote the second installment to draw parallels between game design and sound engineering to emphasize that the tools you use don’t necessarily make your product better unless you know how to use them. The post has just gone live on Gamasutra.
